Profile

Our law firm is seeking a highly motivated, technologically proficient AI Implementation & Integration Specialist to identify, evaluate, and implement artificial intelligence solutions that improve efficiency across our legal practice.

We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of existing AI products, services, platforms, and agents who can independently research emerging technologies and determine how they can be applied to our firm's daily operations.

The primary objective of this position is to significantly reduce attorney workloads by identifying and implementing AI solutions that automate repetitive tasks, streamline document drafting, improve case management, and optimize existing workflows.

This is not primarily a software development or programming position. We are seeking someone who understands the capabilities of commercially available AI technologies and knows how to implement, configure, integrate, and maximize their effectiveness in a professional environment.

The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, highly independent, and capable of identifying opportunities for improvement without requiring constant direction.

Key Responsibilities

AI Product Research & Evaluation

  • Independently research and evaluate existing and emerging AI products, services, platforms, and autonomous AI agents.

  • Identify AI solutions specifically applicable to law firm operations, legal document preparation, litigation support, and case management.

  • Continuously monitor advancements in AI technology and proactively recommend new products that could benefit the firm.

  • Compare competing AI solutions based on functionality, ease of implementation, reliability, security, cost, and potential efficiency gains.

  • Conduct product demonstrations, free trials, and pilot programs to determine which solutions best meet the firm's needs.

  • Develop recommendations for firm leadership outlining the benefits, costs, and implementation requirements of proposed technologies.

AI Implementation & Workflow Integration

  • Implement and configure existing AI products within the firm's daily operations.

  • Analyze current attorney and administrative workflows to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.

  • Integrate AI tools with existing case management, document management, email, and other software systems.

  • Identify opportunities to use commercially available AI agents and automation platforms to handle repetitive or multistep tasks.

  • Develop standardized AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual work and improve consistency.

  • Coordinate with software vendors and external technical specialists when more complex integrations are necessary.

  • Ensure newly implemented AI solutions are practical, reliable, and readily usable by attorneys and support staff.

Legal Document Drafting & Case Management Optimization

  • Identify and implement AI solutions that streamline the preparation of pleadings, discovery, demand letters, legal correspondence, and other legal documents.

  • Develop AI-assisted drafting processes, templates, and document automation workflows.

  • Implement tools that assist with reviewing, organizing, summarizing, and extracting information from legal documents and case files.

  • Improve case management efficiency through AI-powered task automation, document organization, deadline tracking, and case-status reporting.

  • Research solutions that can assist attorneys with legal research, case analysis, litigation preparation, and document review.

  • Identify opportunities to automate administrative components of client intake, communications, and case progression.

  • Ensure appropriate attorney oversight and verification of AI-generated legal work.

Ongoing Optimization & Staff Training

  • Train attorneys and support staff on effectively using newly implemented AI products.

  • Develop internal guides, standardized procedures, and best practices for AI-assisted workflows.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions and identify opportunities for further optimization.

  • Track measurable improvements, including attorney hours saved, reduced document preparation time, increased productivity, and cost savings.

  • Troubleshoot implementation issues and coordinate with vendors when necessary.

  • Serve as the firm's primary internal resource for AI product knowledge, adoption, and integration.

Confidentiality & Responsible AI Implementation

  • Evaluate AI products for appropriate security, privacy, and client confidentiality protections.

  • Work with firm leadership to establish safeguards and approval procedures for AI-assisted legal workflows.

  • Ensure attorneys retain responsibility for reviewing and approving substantive legal work product.

  • Identify potential risks associated with AI-generated information, including inaccurate legal analysis and fabricated citations.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of commercially available AI products, platforms, services, and their practical applications.

  • Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or integrating AI tools into professional workflows.

  • Proven ability to independently research unfamiliar technologies, assess their capabilities, and implement practical solutions.

  • Familiarity with large language models, AI agents, AI-assisted document generation, and workflow automation.

  • Ability to analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities to eliminate or substantially reduce manual work.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to train nontechnical staff on new technologies.

  • Ability to manage multiple implementation projects independently and prioritize solutions with the greatest operational impact.

  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to staying current with rapidly evolving AI technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience implementing AI solutions within a law firm, legal services organization, or professional services business.

  • Familiarity with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and other enterprise AI solutions.

  • Knowledge of legal AI products such as Harvey, CoCounsel, Lexis+ AI, and comparable legal technology platforms.

  • Experience with automation and integration platforms such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or Microsoft Power Automate.

  • Familiarity with legal case management and document management software.

  • Experience implementing AI-assisted document drafting, document review, knowledge management, or administrative automation systems.

  • Understanding of AI product security, data privacy, and confidentiality considerations.

Programming experience and a legal background are beneficial but not required. We place greater value on demonstrated AI product expertise, independent research capabilities, and successful real-world implementations.

What We're Looking For

We are not simply looking for someone who uses ChatGPT or other AI platforms regularly. We are looking for someone who understands the broader AI product landscape and can translate that knowledge into meaningful operational improvements.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Take initiative: Independently identify opportunities to improve how the firm operates.

  • Research effectively: Discover and evaluate AI solutions without needing specific products identified for them.

  • Implement solutions: Move beyond recommendations and take responsibility for putting AI products into actual use.

  • Think practically: Prioritize solutions that save attorneys meaningful amounts of time rather than implementing technology for its own sake.

  • Continuously improve: Regularly identify new opportunities to automate work as AI capabilities evolve.

  • Deliver measurable results: Demonstrate the value of implemented technologies through improved efficiency, reduced workloads, and cost savings.

Performance Expectations

Success in this position will be measured by the candidate's ability to produce tangible improvements in the firm's operations, including:

  • Meaningful reductions in attorney time spent on repetitive drafting and administrative tasks.

  • Successful implementation and adoption of AI-powered legal and business software.

  • Increased efficiency in document preparation, case organization, and case management.

  • Reduced reliance on manual processes through effective automation.

  • Identification of cost-effective AI solutions that improve productivity.

  • Continued development of new AI-assisted workflows as technologies advance.
