Counsel- Procurement, Health Law and Medical Center Services
The candidate advises on a broad range of health law matters affecting the University's academic medical centers, health sciences schools, and other clinical operations. Must possess a J.D. from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the California State Bar. Knowledge and understanding of regulations affecting healthcare organizations and relationships among providers of healthcare services and vendors, including without limitation: federal and state fraud and abuse laws, federal and state privacy laws, and other applicable regulatory standards is essential. Expertise drafting and reviewing Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) is required. Experience in negotiating and reviewing procurement agreements for healthcare organizations and experience counseling clients on public procurement strategies and processes is required. Some travel outside of normal business hours may be required.
