eDiscovery Associate Director, Client Services (east coast)
Duties: Develop a thorough understanding of Lighthouse workflows, critical paths needed to progress work through the system and tools used by Lighthouse to manage workflows. Manage directly or indirectly clients and projects assigned to the pod and delegate key stakeholders to ensure proper project management tasks and workflows are completed. Communicate expectations for scope and deadlines to internal and external stakeholders. Establish informed project schedules based on a solid understanding of project activities, sequences of events, dependencies, work effort, duration of tasks across departments, and associated resource requirements based upon the complexity of work and the size of the queue. Delegate work to Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Associate Project Managers, and Discovery Analysts, reaching across pods to utilize available resources to meet deadlines and maintain utilization rates for the department as necessary. Draft and manage or participate in project management tasks including SOW creation, kick-off call preparation and completion, and documentation of workflows, standards and project closure tasks such as final billing and data destruction as needed. Participate in monthly billing reviews and forecasting meetings. Participate in and allocate personnel for process improvement initiatives as identified by Client Services and company leadership• Ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of all aspects of implementation. Train and develop team member to advance their careers and/or skills. Manage pod member schedules to ensure client needs are met, while preserving pod member work-life balance. Ensure remote team members are effectively managed and actively engaged. Participate in all managerial duties as identified by the company including 1:1 meetings, mid-year and annual employee reviews. Maintain a deep understanding of e-discovery, market competitors and the tools used to support the industry. A billable target of 805 billable hours per year once training is completed (35% utilization based on 2300 worked hours annually).
