Job Description:
This company designs and manufactures pressure control equipment, production logging tools, logging systems and related equipment for the cased-hole wireline service industry, and serves both national and international markets. Established in 1999, they now employ over 175 people. They are looking for a Machine Shop Manager / Foreman who has experience in an engineering manufacturing environment, to join their USA team in their Southeastern TX location. This is a challenging opportunity for an energetic individual who is an out of the box thinker with sound business acumen to expand the capabilities of their machine shop and lead a small team. To be considered, you must have a minimum of 3 years management/supervisory experience, be proficient using Mastercam X ver. 6 programming software, be familiar with Cimco DNC, and have Journeyman status with a strong background of CNC and manual machining (boring, milling, turning, etc). You must also have strong technical hands on experience on the shop floor, experience of oilfield services equipment (knowledge of wireline logging equipment is a definite asset), be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, have strong leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and commercial astuteness. Responsibilities for this position include planning, scheduling, and tracking jobs to maximize efficiency, working with the Production Manager to ensure that customer requirements are satisfied, liaise with Production to establish manufacturing goals, increase productivity and improve processes, lead, motivate, manage and mentor a team of machinists, and ensure high standards of safety and quality control.
