to join our boutique firm.
You will utilise your broad experience in commercial law matters, have very strong work ethics and above all understand client expectations and deliver exceptional service and communication to clients.

Skills and experience
Mandatory Prerequisites
Full unrestricted Australian working rights
2 Years Commercial/General Law PAE
Current practising certificate
Own reliable vehicle
Current valid Drivers Licence
Mandatory Skills
Able to demonstrate a high level of initiative and autonomous workflow
Able to demonstrate excellent communication and strong attention to detail
Able to demonstrate established industry relationships
Able to achieve billable hours and business development to achieve same.
The following are advantageous but not Mandatory:
Blogging/social media skills
Completion of PMC advantageous
Completion of Mediation course
Other life experience

Senior Family Lawyer
The Role
We require a Family Law Solicitor, with minimum 5 years post-admission experience in Family Law. Initially you will be working with our principal and transitioning her case load to you. Your files will be exclusively fee-paying Family Law - generally property settlements with some children's matters. We provide a very high level of customer service and expect that to be maintained by all staff. Attention to detail is a prerequisite - you will be able to demonstrate this skill.
This recruitment position is very important as this role sets the standard for the firmsits evolution. With the aggressive growth targets that are planned, this role will evolve quickly and you will need to adapt to a rapidly changing workplace.
You will:
Be able to implement our business processes to ensure that client expectations and business needs are met.
Participate in business planning.
Be able to manage staff targets and matter management issues
Be able to provide ethical guidance to other staff
YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
IT IS ESSENTIAL that:
You are admitted as a solicitor in Queensland, with 5 years post-admission experience in Family Law.
You have demonstrated leadership skills.
You have strong commercial skills.
You have excellent client relationship building skills as well as business development skills
You are compassionate, composed and professional in high pressure situations.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate client management and relationship building.
You can effectively prioritise to meet deadlines and client expectations.
You have a strong courtroom manner.
You are able to foster the careers of and mentor junior lawyers
Accreditation in family law would be advantageous
Strong business development skills and relationships understanding
We do not have a defined start date. It is assumed that you are probably working at the moment, and we will work with you toward a mutually acceptable commencement date.
