Job responsibilities: This assignment involves maintaining an existing integration framework which is plugged into the engineering team’s continuous integration system. The assignment will be to master how the current system works, while completing deliverables, such as developing tests which run in the continuous integration system and reports in Bamboo which is the tool that is used. During two week sprints the candidate will be assigned to specific stories, and assigned integration tasks based on those stories, and be responsible entirely for which areas of test he would do and which areas of test the rest of the team will need to do, so they reach their definition of done which is having all of these tests running in Bamboo. Their unit testing goal is 60% per sprint meaning the sprint will not be released if they don’t meet the 60% and 100% for block and critical test cases which the candidate will define, be responsible for completing all of his/hers and making sure that the others completed theirs.
Continuing on this product team, with areas of focus enhancing/creating the existing smoke test, which is something that is run on a per release basis and on a nightly basis on the continuous integration system, also any release verification points the candidate will also be responsible for coding. Those use different technologies like ruby, maybe python, shell scripting for sure.
Requirements
6-8 years of experience building, designing and implementing integration frameworks. Maven and Java are primary languages for it.
Junit and test NG,
Experience with Multi-Tenant systems, Working in AWS,( This project is entirely hosted in AWS, including Dev, integration, dev ops, Staging, and production system is all working in AWS, ) Setting things up in AWS using Elastic growth load balancing,
Administration in unix (any flavor), strong working knowledge of
Being able to organize the work and not do it all but instead distribute it among the other engineers on the team. So being very good at what they can do and communicating what they need other people to do, organizing the work so that it is legible so that other people know what they need to do, and understand how to read other peoples code, document is sparse so that from design to implementation it’s really a collaboration and discussion, so candidate will need to be able to contribute to the team and communicate about what the code is doing.
