Programmer to create an Email Desktop App in VB.net
We are seeking applicants to work on just one task to start. To complete a VB.net desktop application for a user email application. If the project goes well, we have many projects to convert Access to VB.net. This will determine if they are a good fit for us. And this could turn into permanent position, If you like later.
We are based in the NW U.S. but our development team is in Pakistan and have been doing great work for us for over 10 years. Here is what we are looking for:
(1) Most likely one freelancer, instead of a company.
(2) Who has excellent MS-Access knowledge.
(2) Who has expert VB.net programming skill. .
(3) With excellent SQL skills to provide speedy queries.
(4) With proven experience at converting MS-Access applications to VB.net
(5) Preferably using conversion tools to speed the project along.
(5) Who can use our Remote Desktop Connection.
(6) Who can collaborate using Skype (Mostly IM)
(7) With good English proficiency.
We ask 30 to 40 hours of work per week under the project is done. We are a limited budget for this project.
FIRST PROJECT
Built an email application in vb.net to receive and send emails, but it also will store or transfer selected emails to our existing contact management system.
For this task, there will be about dozen forms, and a small number of reports. The program must work very quickly and integrate with our MS-SQL server.
Once completed, we may ask you to start on one of our other applications. When that is completed we may combine the Mail Client into the larger application. You will report to a team leader in Pakistan (GMT 5) and the company manager in the NW US.(MGT-7). We ask for daily progress reports including hours spent and tasks completed.

LATER PROJECTS
If your work is good we request you work on our other much larger MS-Access projects as we convert them all to VB.net desktops. This applications have hundreds of forms, some of which are simple, many are complex and a few are especially complicated. Dozens of reports. We use
The current application is integrated with MS-SQL 2012 database. Both the application and the server reside in our offices. We ask programmers to work on our servers using a Remote Desktop (RDP) connection.
We can consider an individual or a company to do this work. We ask for 30 to 40 hours per week under the work is done. We are unable to estimate how much time this will take but we are on a limited budget.
Although we are a US company, we have worked with our current MS-Access engineers in Pakistan remotely for years so we understand how to collaborate remotely. The Pakistan team will be available to work with the programmer selected to do the Conversion.
In order to bid on this FIRST job, please provide the following information:
(A) Your experience in MS-Access
(B) Your experience with VB.net
(C) Your specific experience with MS-Access to VB.net conversions
(D) Whether you will use a conversion tool, and which one.
(E) What other add-ins or tools you might incorporate in the app.
(F) Where are you physically located.
(G) If a company, the number of people available to work on this project.
(H) The number of hours you will be available to work per week
(I) How soon you can start the project, after award
(J) Your availability after completion for other VB.net assignments.
And then - provide a fixed price for doing the work described.
And specify your hourly rate so we would know what to expect should we send you later projects.

We can not afford a huge fee for this first project, but if you do great work we can budget more for later projects. Or we might engage you on an hourly basis.
If possible please explain the conversions you did, their complexity and hours consumed to complete such projects. Please convince us that you know how to do this and can do it smoothly.
