Interim Associate Dean of Career Services

RESPONSIBILITIES: Long term strategic planning: monitoring and anticipating employment trends; assessing needs of students and alumni; setting goals for OCS; devising innovative programming to maximize success of students and alumni. Establishing office policies and procedures. Managing OCS staff. Conducting outreach to potential employers and developing access to legal job markets globally. Counseling JD and LLM students and alumni on job search strategies and career development. Conducting workshops and individual sessions on resume writing, interviewing and networking; rganizing and presenting panel discussions and other programs on career-related topics. Serving as a member of the law school’s senior administrative leadership team. Coordinating administration of programs with other departments and student groups. Tracking and preparing statistical information on job placement for reporting purposes. Responding to information requests for various publications. Serving on committees and work groups at the discretion of the Dean. Serving as a liaison with bar associations and other professional organizations. Assisting Admissions Office with recruitment initiatives. Working with alumni groups to co-sponsor career-related events and networking opportunities. Assisting in devising marketing materials for prospective students and employers.
