Staff Attorney - Assistant or Associate General Counsel
The candidate will focus on labor and employment law counseling, including hiring, discipline, terminations, pay, benefits, civil rights, regulatory, constitutional and other human resources-related legal and policy issues affecting non-faculty employees; will handle certain administrative agency employment-related claims and in other instances will advise Penn State offices that handle such claims; will manage non-faculty employment-related litigation undertaken by outside counsel; will work with other lawyers in the office who handle employment and other legal issues related to faculty, including tenure and promotion; will handle directly and/or supervise outside counsel in labor relations and union issues; and will handle other higher education legal matters as assigned.
