The candidate will research file documents (i.e. company or claim files) to determine and identify relevant information and additional witnesses contained therein to create potential witness list and case binders; and for possible future discovery via subpoena, public records request, and/or authorizations. Prepare various discovery requests, responses, and summaries of same. Summarize various records (medical; employment; tax; educational; surveillance, etc.). Prepare detailed medical chronology and medical billing chart. Gather relevant documents for attorney’s use in upcoming depositions, meetings, telephone conferences, etc.. WestlawNext research to locate witnesses and obtain background information. Locate and retain experts for independent medical examinations, site inspections, trial, etc.. Locate and retain investigators for surveillance, etc.. Prepare trial disclosures; trial notebooks; and exhibits for use at trial. Should have 2-4 years previous experience in defense firm. Florida Registered Paralegal is preferred.
