Biotech Patent Agent
The candidate will be responsible for communicating with inventors and drafting patent applications. Should have excellent academic credentials and 3+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications for biotechnology and/or chemistry-related matters. Experience with patent and literature searching is a plus. Experience with freedom to operate opinions is highly desired. Experience drafting or assisting with freedom-to-operate opinions is also strongly preferred. The position requires a Ph.D. or Master's degree with experience in a biotechnology-related field. Must have a demonstrated track record of drafting and prosecuting patent applications for innovative biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceutical corporations. Should have scientific expertise and persuasive writing skills; deep knowledge of best practices in patent prosecution; and effective oral presentation and explanation of work product. Must be admitted to practice before the USPTO.
