Assistant Professor Of Criminal Justice
The candidate will teach and/or perform assignment effectively; conduct scholarly achievement or research; continue preparation and study in discipline; contribute to student growth and development; and provide service to the university and community (IFO Article 22, Section B). Should have terminal doctorate degree (EdD, JD, PhD, etc.) in a relevant criminal justice/public safety discipline from a regionally accredited institution; ABD applicants will be considered if doctoral degree is conferred by starting date. Must have 3+ years of full-time, U.S.-based law enforcement, practitioner experience. Should have knowledge and ability to teach Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training (MnPOST) courses. Should preferably have experience teaching criminal justice courses to traditional undergraduate and graduate students. Experience using electronic, Internet and distance learning technologies (e.g., Desire2Learn, Blackboard) is a plus.
