Contract Manager
Duties: Reviewing and negotiating complex legal contracts for clinical and non-clinical research funding received by the University from private, for-profit sponsors, including businesses, industry, associations, and foundations in order to facilitate industry-sponsored research. Reviewing and negotiating research-related confidentiality and data use agreements with all collaborators. Consulting with faculty investigators and departmental staff regarding the nature of each research project and the impact of unique aspects of the project on the legal language contained in the language of the agreement, representing the best interests of the University and the Investigator. Keeping abreast of new developments in research administration policies and requirements in order to serve as an up-to-date source of information, guidance, and training for the campus and research community.
