Temporary Director, Student Clinical Support
Duties: Negotiates the terms of the clinical affiliation agreements and directs the implementation and management of the health, safety and legal compliance for all enrolled students and clinical faculty. Managing compliance records, translating contractual language into student and faculty requirements, updating compliance policies, providing expert guidance to students and faculty on compliance and contract related matters and serving as the primary liaison with internal and external clinical agency representatives. Oversees the Clinical Site Placement process that places students in agencies for their educational clinical rotations. Engages with Campus Health to ensure that student health and immunization requirements meet CDC and university guidelines; Directs the development, implementation, maintenance and adherence to the department’s policies and procedures regarding new student matriculation requirements, student clinical agency requirements for clinical experiences, faculty clinical agency for clinical faculty entering health care sites; Department requirements for faculty entering health care sites; Collaborates with key stakeholders to plan, develop, implement and continually evaluate the compliance process and systems in use. Provide input to product development team of vendors to implement product updates that will streamline compliance process; Orient students to compliance vendor and trouble shoot as issues arise; Collaborates with Employee Health, Department’s HR and others to ensure that faculty compliance meets clinical agency requirements.
Works closely with Assistant Deans in multiple divisions to design compliance and monitor process for students and faculty. Attends Grad and UG Lead Faculty meetings to determine needs and to continually monitor and update. Ensure smooth onboarding with clinical agencies’ new electronic vendor for clinical placement requests, Rotation Manager and other vendors as they develop. Ensure Typhon database is updated and accurate.
