Legal Counsel
The candidate reporting to the Executive Director, will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to the Coalition and supervising staff attorneys. As a member of the management team, will be involved in strategic planning, evaluation, and professional development initiatives. Review agency contracts. Develop MOU’s with subcontractors. Update agency by-laws, personnel policies, and other documents. Develop and update legal materials on domestic and sexual violence. Provide training and technical assistance to communities on laws and policies related to domestic and sexual violence. Supervise staff attorneys. Facilitate legal team meetings. Assist in program development and grant reporting. Attend weekly management meetings and monthly staff meetings. Attend all board meetings, DVSCC meetings, and community meetings as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Supervised and accountable to the Executive Director.
