Collections Representative
The candidate' must have prior experience in an office environment.- All applicants must have prior experience in customer service, sales, or collections related fields. Prior experience in a law office is preferred but not required.- General knowledge of the legal system and legal process is preferred but not required. Please do not apply if you do not meet the criteria above. Duties: Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on customers' financial situations. Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by mail or telephone. Advise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment. Persuade customers to pay amounts due on credit accounts. Monitor overdue accounts. Answer customer questions regarding problems with their accounts. Record information about financial status of customers and status of collection efforts. Trace delinquent customers to new addresses by inquiring at post offices. Sort and file correspondence, and perform miscellaneous clerical duties such as answering correspondence. Prepare file for civil litigation, and court filing documents. Answering and recording telephone calls.
