There are more than 400 physicians on staff, many of whom have offices located right next door in the TriStar Skyline Medical Plaza.
 
We offer: Support for Serious Emergencies, with traumatic injury, saving time is crucial. Tristar Skyline is designated to quickly care for severely injured patients and increase chances of survival. Access to emergency treatment across Middle Tennessee and the greater Nashville area. We're located off of I-65, I-24 and Briley Parkway for convenient access. With two helipads located directly outside of the ER to provide rapid response time Trauma rooms located directly inside ambulance entrance Critical care unit, surgical suites and imaging located next to ER for rapid access to diagnosis and treatment.
 
 
TriStar Skyline Medical Center is currently looking for a Supervisor Central Sterile.

POSITION SUMMARY:
 
Position Responsibilities:
 

Coordination of clinical day to day activities of sterile processing department
Serves as a resource person for Sterile Processing
Assures that daily instruments are processed and ready for use by the OR / departments.
 
Department Specific Criteria:
 

Assists in supervising activity of departmental associates engaged in furnishing sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment, and services for the care and treatment of patients.
Enforces established methods and work performance standards for preparing sterile items and rental equipment.
Maintains statistics and sterilization records as assigned and reports at monthly intervals.
Provides inventory of sterile supplies adequate for routine patient needs and emergency requirements according to established PAR levels.
Utilizes universal precautions in any potential contact with patient body fluids or contaminated supplies or equipment
Reports all pertinent departmental information to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
Responsible for on-going performance improvement activities.
Assures correct and safe preparation of all instruments and according to established policies and procedures.

High School Diploma/GED
3-5 years experience in Operating Room Sterile Processing
OR/Sterile Processing experience required
Certification in Central Sterile processing preferred
