Asst / Associate Librarian, Director of Law Library
The candidate administers the Law Library and is responsible for its operation as a major teaching and research facility. Provides innovative leadership to library staff, manages a complex budget, and executes a forward-thinking vision for the Library. Serves as a member of the Dean’s leadership team. Holds a tenure track appointment within the IU Library system as well as Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer appointment in the Maurer School of Law; rank and salary commensurate with the candidate’s background, qualifications and experience. Must have J.D. Degree from an ABA-accredited law school; Master’s Degree from an ALA accredited library school or a degree in Information Science; and substantial experience in law library administration. Knowledge of current and developing legal information technologies required. Ability to interact well with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and other users and members of the university community is essential. Must qualify for tenure track appointment within IU Library system.
