Interactive/Information Architect

Profile

IBM Interactive Interactive/Information Architects should have experience participating in the design and development of highly interactive web sites and mobile applications for high profile clients. The Interactive/Information Architect will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and presenting interactive web projects and mobile applications to project stakeholders. This candidate will be expected to take ideas from concept to reality by taking requirements and working with other members of the team to design what is possible within the constraints of the project.
Duties:
* Concept and build of information architecture for high-profile interactive web projects including live data and video consoles, mobile sites, mobile apps and web sites.
* Gather requirements from project stakeholders to build concepts.
* Coordinate with project manager, design and development teams in the concept creation of highly interactive applications.
* Consult and participate in briefings to gather requirements and present ideas for applications and features.
* Participate in ideation and scoping of new product and services on a variety of platforms, including web, smartphones and tablets.
* Due to the diverse nature of the work, candidates are expected to be involved in all areas of the project lifecycle and be prepared to engage new technologies in support of defined strategies and initiatives.
* Must be prepared to step into diversified roles where required to demonstrate the latest and greatest technologies IBM delivers.
Overview Skills/Experience:
* Experience designing interactive, high trafficked web sites and applications.
* Experience working with developers and project stakeholders
* Experience engaging customers through current social media platforms
* Very strong web and mobile industry experience, ability to advise customer decisions based on that experience.
* Experience creating design and information architecture in Photoshop, OmniGraffle and Visio.
* Ability to work well and communicate effectively with diverse teams of technical architects, other information architects, customers, project stakeholders, and creative directors.
* Experience with web site editorial processes including content creation, digital photography and management of editorial teams.
When working with other key stakeholders, the candidate should be able to articulate innovative concepts in a customer friendly and understandable way. This would involve being able to assist project managers, visual designers with scoping and pricing front end applications as well as working with a team of developers during the build, test and deployment phases.
People Skills:
* The candidate should have experience working with a variety of clients at all levels of an organization as well as a level of comfort presenting their work in workshops and client meetings.
* Has developed relationships of mutual trust with people inside and outside of their organization based on respect, integrity, positive regard and an appreciation of the uniqueness of the individual.
Required
* Bachelor's Degree
* At least 2 years experience in Visio and/or OmniGraffle
* At least 2 years experience in Adobe Photoshop experience
* Basic knowledge in mobile applications (especially iPhone/iPad/Android applications)
* Basic knowledge in social media based platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter)
* Basic knowledge in creating, customizing and personalizing web experiences
* Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
* English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
* Master's Degree
* At least 3 years experience in Visio and/or OmniGraffle
* At least 3 years experience in Adobe Photoshop experience
