Job Description:
The Radar and Mobile Defense Software Department in Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Software Engineering Directorate (SED) is seeking multiple developers and integrators, with the primary work location in Andover, MA or Tewksbury, MA.
The Radar and Mobile Defense Software Department provides software solutions for some of IDS’ most rapidly transportable world class radar, missile, command and control, and homeland defense systems. The department is additionally a critical source of support for a variety of new technology initiatives and internal R&D efforts.
The ideal candidates will have a variety of software development experience including software design, code, test, and integration in a real-time software environment.
Preferred language experience is object-oriented C .
Radar knowledge and experience in the defense industry are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting problems found during software/hardware integration and implementing and testing solutions.
Software regression testing, supporting tests at the integration sites, and building and delivering the software.
This position can be a Salary Grade E04 or E05 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to this skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
Basic Qualifications:
Strong programming skills (C/C in Unix environment preferred)
A BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Science, or any other related
field of study
6 years software engineering work experience, including code, test, and integration
Able to travel up to 25% of time
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with UNIX programming environment
Object-oriented software design
MATLAB scripting
Experience in Java and/or C#
Scripting language such as Perl or Unix shell scripting
Embedded software development and test
Experience with the following tools: Raytheon iTracker, DOORs, ClearCase
The ability to obtain an active secret level security clearance
The Software Engineering Directorate (SED) is the central focus for real-time software development, integration, test and validation activities for these systems within Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). We provide engineering design processes, standards and test expertise to Raytheon's current programs, along with new system technology development.
