Counsel, State and Regulatory Compliance
Duties: Responsible for overseeing satisfaction of regulatory requirements necessary for the Company to operate. Primarily responsible for designing (along with internal business function partners) new processes across the company to meet new or revised regulatory procedures as begins operations in new states for new products. Primarily responsible for drafting and managing execution and documentation of certain compliance-related state-required procedures. A key member of advisory team providing legal guidance to internal team members regarding state regulatory requirements. Build-out of technology solutions to monitor day-to-day compliance with internal controls and procedures and is responsible for such monitoring. Assisting with regulatory engagement on matters related to incident management, customer investigations/complaints, amendments to regulations. Responsible for managing state reporting to relevant regulators and third parties as necessary and in partnership with other compliance and legal stakeholders.
