The FlashBlade team is responsible for
FlashBlade
and
ObjectEngine
products. With the FlashBlade product, we are building a scale-out all-flash file and object store, designed for the modern world. To really understand how our customers work with data, we are deeply immersed in AI, modern backup, log analytics with Splunk and Elastic, data pipeline with Kafka, cluster computing with Spark, and many more use cases. With the ObjectEngine product we are looking to modernize data protection by driving to a new architecture of F2F2C (Flash to Flash to Cloud).
You will love it on the FlashBlade team if you:
Ensure releases of the highest quality
Plan, test and qualify shipping releases
Work with Support and Escalation teams to help reproduce and root cause customer issues Identifying, analyzing, and documenting any defects discovered during testing
Triage and debug automated test failures across a multi-machine hardware/software stack Perform ad-hoc, automated and manual testing
Design and build tools and automation to simplify testing and integration workflows
Identify any test gaps, perform root cause analysis & close loop with the release engineering.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
Some experience with virtualization technologies: VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack, Oracle Familiarity with multiple operating systems: Linux, Solaris, Windows
Hands on automation in Python
Knowledge of storage protocols Fibre Channel, FCoE, iSCSI
Familiarity with database technologies: Oracle or SQL
Experience with the customer and sustaining engineering is a plus
Ability to independently create and maintain test environments
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Capable of prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of system testing and quality assurance best practices and methodologies Fluency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, Ruby or Perl
Natural curiosity with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
5 years of software system testing experience, or equivalent
Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.
