Requirements : The candidates must have received the Ph.D. since July 1, 2015, or be scheduled to defend the dissertation before July 1, 2019. Should have a strong theoretical awareness, and deeply engage substantive empirical, ethnographic, and/or historical materials. Center on the richly-informed study of immigration in relation to America (broadly defined), especially as immigration issues intersect with cultural dynamics and legal issues. Should be able to speak in public debates about immigration, the law, identity, exclusion, citizenship, borders, and race/ethnicity.
