Spring Law Student Clerkship
The candidate will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with primarily monolingual Spanish speaking tenants seeking assistance with a variety of matters including the preparation of Pro Per answers to unlawful detainer complaints and relevant motions. May have the opportunity to represent tenant clients at hearings before the Oakland Rent Adjustment Program contesting rent increases and seeking rent reductions for decreased housing services. Assist with Centro Legal’s housing clinics. Must have ability to communicate and work in Spanish.
Spring semester: August 1 – January 1.
