administration of medications and treatments in accordance with physician
orders and established nursing policies and procedures. Care provided is based
on defined standards of patient care and nursing practice

','!*!A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from
an accredited nursing program is preferred. 

BLS required; ACLS required within
one year of start date; PALS recommended, but not required.

 

Acute care, emergency or critical
care experience preferred. Equipment use including but not limited to computer,
telephone, IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and those items necessary to care
for the patient in the ED setting.

 

 

Effective May
1, 2014, all new-hire  Associate Degree Registered Nurses (new graduate
and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within two years
of hire and complete an approved BSN program within five years of hire.
