Searching for Unique Whimsical Childrens Book Illustrator -- 2
Hello,
I am seeking to hire a children’s book illustrator. My budget is no more than $800. Thank you for taking time to explore my proposed project in detail below to see if it’s the right fit for your creative art style and schedule. Keep in mind, if this is a project that intrigues you, I am seeking an qualified illustrator who can grow each character as each book moves to the next in this series. I’m looking for someone who can and will work closely with me the author, to create original characters with lots of personality and not cookie-cutter, cut and paste design characters. I desire characters that can use facial expressions and body movement to capture the hearts of my reading audience.
This project will contain 26 Illustrations Total (24 detailed illustrations with backgrounds, 1illustrated page that will be used as a repeat throughout the entire book as the setting for the type font story for each illustrated page and 1 illustration for the Book Cover) For this first project in the series, most illustrations include 1 to 3 main characters, but approximately pages may include up to 4 to 7 characters. This project to include a Book Cover (front, back and spine), Source Image Files. And I will own all Copyrights to every sketch, illustration and book cover design which will be used for personal and commercial use.
As the illustrator, your name will proudly be displayed on the book cover along with mine, as well as your bio will be included inside the book giving more information about you to the readers so you will receive recognition for the hard work involved in creating such loving and heartfelt characters.
If you feel this isn’t the right type of artwork project, you’d like dive into and complete, I’d appreciate your honesty from the beginning before we should ever get started. My latest book was named one of Amazons #1 New Releases and still remains consistently in the top best sellers list in my category.
If you choose to take this project on, this book will be my second series and will be the first book in a series of children’s stories I’ve already created. I will be publishing my works and your illustrations through KDP Kids and believe it is best to use a 8.25x8.25 inch format for this particular project so, I will need proper sized illustrations from the beginning. Once again, I will own all rights to this completed project.
The vision I have for the main characters, are a sweet quirky looking couple in their early 60s, my hope is they will steal the heart of every parent reading this book to their child. Parents who looks forward to having active lifestyles of their own with their grandchildren someday. Perhaps this couple even reminds them of someone they knew while growing up. All characters in this book series will be very animated. Every character needs to be very soft sculptured yet realistic, including animals and insects. Id like each to have lots of colorful personality, warmth, inviting eyes and faces. Also, the older woman is a bit overweight but not overly with interesting blue eyes. She has a streak of white in her pixie styled brown hair. Pops is slimmer, taller and wears round slimline glasses, hazel eyes, with wavy lighter brown hair that has touches of gray or white around the temples. Both are soft loveable characters you could imagine every child imagines their grand parent could be.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Warm Regards,
Tammy Rush-Sirmon
