Assists physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and
disorders by providing ultrasonic examinations.

','!*!Requirements:   


Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology or
ultrasound.  Must be registered in good standing with the ARDMS (American
Registry of diagnostic Medical Sonographers) and have RVT Certification or
complete the registry within one year from date of hire. Previous clinical
experience preferred.

 

Working
Relationships:   

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible to the Radiology Manager
and/or Supervisor and does not supervise any employees.  Is in daily
contact with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and other professional
employees.

 

 

Physical Requirements
and Environmental Conditions: 

Must be able to  perform moderately difficult manipulative skills,
performs tasks requiring eye-hand coordination and arm-hand steadiness.
Requires the ability to visually discriminate far away and close objects, hear
and distinguish normal sounds. May be exposed to blood, body tissue
or fluids, hazardous waste materials such as chemicals, radiation, bodily
injury and electrical hazards. Must have excellent communication,
