Assistant Director, Law Admissions
Duties: Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Admissions, the Assistant Director is the primary recruiter and represents the College of Law at recruitment fairs throughout the United States and internationally. Focuses on yield and contact with prospective and admitted students in large groups, small groups and individually as well as with prelaw advisors, key colleges and pipeline programs. Recruits prospective students by representing the College of Law at recruitment fairs and Law School Admission Council Forums throughout the United States and internationally. Position requires extensive travel. Assists in coordinating of recruitment programs and travel for Office of Admissions. Maintains relationships with key colleges, prelaw advisors and pipeline programs. Works with Assistant Dean and Associate Director in coordinating recruitment and outreach programming with law school partners. Provides Counseling to Admitted and Prospective Students and Applicants: Messages and promotes College of Law in recruitment and admissions mediums. Counsels prospective law students regarding the application process and programs at the College of Law. Maintains telephone, email and social media contacts with prospective and admitted students. Uses admissions database and university departments and offices to provide individualized and personalized contact with admitted students. Assists in the development and review of marketing and promotional materials, including social media strategy and web content, and communications plan. Assist with coordinating on-campus Open House & Law Day Programs and off-campus retention events: Works with the Assistant Dean and Associate Director in coordinating all Open House and Law Day programs. Helps the Assistant Dean of Admissions in making presentations to prospective law students. Collaborates with the Assistant Dean and Associate Director in coordinating special recruitment and retention events for admitted students at both domestic and international programs as well as on-campus events. Conducts Information Sessions & Tours: Conducts regularly scheduled information sessions for prospective law students. Provides tours of the College of Law facilities for prospective students, applicants and admitted students. Assists the Assistant Dean of Admissions in supervising student workers and temporary staff. Assists the Assistant Dean of Admissions in supervising student workers and temporary staff.
