Fiber Optic Splicer
Fiber Optic Splicer Responsibilities:
Prepping and splicing of fiber optic cables in pedestals and enclosures
Knowledge in OTDR, power meter and PON testing
Experience in splicing and repairs of new and existing plant, buried and aerial cables using all types of methods
Ability to perform cutovers, cable throws and working with live circuits
Learn how to properly test and troubleshoot fiber optic networks for acceptance and trouble identification
Fiber Optic Splicer Qualifications:
2- year degree in related field; or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
