A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Trial Practice team in Cleveland, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters and gain hands-on trial experience alongside seasoned professionals who have successfully defended major corporations in challenging venues.

Duties

• Collaborate with partners on complex litigation matters, assisting in developing case strategy and providing client counseling.
• Participate in all stages of trial preparation, including discovery, witness preparation, and courtroom advocacy.
• Handle court appearances, argue motions, and conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents, while working closely with fact and expert witnesses.
• Take and defend depositions, ensuring comprehensive preparation for all phases of litigation.

Requirements

• 2-7 years of litigation experience with a strong interest in trial practice.
• Experience drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, and handling discovery.
• Trial experience or a demonstrated interest in trying cases.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in Ohio is required.
• Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania is a plus.
