Duties

• Manage all aspects of WCAB litigation.
• Maintain communication with client representatives.
• Prepare Initial Defense Analysis for new cases.
• Assess claim exposure.
• Conduct depositions and QME evaluations.
• Appear for hearings and trials before the WCAB.
• Bring claims to prompt, cost-effective resolutions.

Requirements

• Experience as a California workers' compensation attorney (defense side preferred).
• Member of the California State Bar in good standing.
• Ability to meet a minimum of 190 billable hours per month.
• Ability to work in a paperless environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California State Bar membership.

Skills

• Proficiency in MerusCase legal practice management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
