Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI Associate in Dallas, TX. This role offers an opportunity to engage with leading companies across various industries on complex privacy, cybersecurity, and AI issues. The associate will work directly with clients and manage significant workstreams within a dynamic practice.

Duties

• Advise on GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws.
• Develop privacy and cybersecurity compliance programs.
• Design workflows for consumer rights requests.
• Advise on AI governance and emerging AI laws.
• Support data security incident response.
• Advise on ad tech compliance and digital marketing strategies.
• Support privacy aspects of M&A and other transactions.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries and investigations.

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, or AI matters.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI laws.
• Experience with incident response or AI governance preferred.
• Active bar license in the state of application or eligibility for admission.

Education

• Excellent academic record required.

Certifications

• CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or AIGP certifications preferred.

Skills

• Superb writing and negotiating skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Superior judgment and ability to translate complex requirements into business advice.
• Proficiency with generative AI legal research tools.
