Meat Procurement Analyst

Profile

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting the Meat Procurement Team as well as Sales, Marketing, Pricing Managers, R&D, and AP by fulfilling the following duties:


Maintain and distribute external consulting and market reports

Track and report on procurement of raw materials to include prices quantity vendors claims and order fulfillment

Manage and track vendor compliance including obtaining up to date audits and other required documents from outside suppliers new suppliers internal suppliers

Support relationships between buyers vendors and processing facilities by developing processes to collect data and report data

Respond to ad hoc data requests from business units and provide information and analysis regarding historical trends in procurement

Keeping up with market information to better maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the livestock meats grains commodities market

Assists the Procurement Support staff with purchase order entry, maintenance claims resolution, raw material code creation and maintaining


REQUIREMENTS:


Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience

Experience: 1 plus years experience in a related field with agriculture procurement analysis preferred; quantitative and analytical orientation preferred

Computer Skills: Advanced Excel modeling skills and experience with database development and management required; ability to program in VBA C a plus

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills

Supervisory: N/A

Travel: Some travel may be required


This position could also be located in Springdale, AR.
