Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate to join its Real Estate Practice Group in the Orlando, Florida office. The ideal candidate will bring over six years of experience in real estate development law, with a specialized focus on representing developers in the creation, structuring, and development of homeowners' associations, condominium associations, and master-planned communities.

Duties

• Advise developers throughout the lifecycle of residential and mixed-use development projects, including the formation and structuring of community associations.



• Draft and amend governing documents such as declarations, bylaws, covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&Rs), articles of incorporation, and rules and regulations.



• Manage developer rights, turnover matters, easements, shared maintenance agreements, and ensure compliance with the Florida Condominium Act.



• Collaborate with land use, zoning, real estate, and construction attorneys on community development projects and advise clients on developer transactions.

Requirements

• Must be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.



• Minimum of six years of experience in real estate development law.



• Strong background in representing developers in residential, mixed-use, and master-planned community developments.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Florida Bar.

• Excellent drafting, transactional, analytical, and negotiation skills.



• Strong communicational abilities with a collaborative approach.



• Experience working alongside multidisciplinary legal teams on complex development matters.
