Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney in North Palm Beach, Florida. This role involves managing a diverse civil litigation caseload with a focus on Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, Guardianship, and Elder Law matters. The ideal candidate will bring strong advocacy skills and the ability to independently handle matters from inception through resolution.

Duties

• Independently manage civil litigation caseloads, including strategy, discovery, mediation, trial, and final resolution.


• Prepare, draft, and review pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, and discovery materials for court proceedings.


• Advocate effectively in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including emergency proceedings.


• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and third parties to advance case strategy and resolve matters.


• Delegate assignments to support staff, review work product, and ensure compliance with court deadlines and protocols.


• Maintain accurate time-keeping records and manage retainer balances in coordination with billing teams.


• Participate in client development, networking, and professional growth initiatives to support practice expansion.


 

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of substantive civil litigation experience with a track record of independent case management.


• Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.


• Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills demonstrated through prior practice.


• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple matters, competing priorities, and critical deadlines.


• Sound professional judgment with the initiative to proactively identify and resolve legal and factual issues.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to high-quality client service.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Admission to practice before the U.S. District Courts in Florida is preferred but not required.


 

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.


• Experience with legal practice-management systems (e.g., Clio Manage, Clio Grow) and document management tools.


• Familiarity with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis.


• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
