Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Intellectual Property Associate to join their Patent Group's Biotechnology team in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have experience in life sciences-related patent and IP work, including counseling, due diligence, patent preparation and prosecution, and drafting and negotiating IP agreements.

Duties

• Provide counseling and due diligence in life sciences-related patent and IP work.
• Prepare and prosecute patents in the biotechnology field.
• Draft and negotiate intellectual property agreements.
• Engage in interparty matters as needed.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in relevant patent and IP work.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Active Bar admission in Georgia or ability to waive in.
• Registration with the USPTO.

Education

• Graduate degree in molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, or related area required.
• Ph.D. preferred.

Certifications

• USPTO registration.
