Job Overview

A law firm seeks a talented and motivated associate with 2 to 4 years of experience in AI, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and/or false advertising law to join its intellectual property and technology litigation practice in Boston, Massachusetts. The firm is at the forefront of high-profile cases, including defending major technology companies in generative AI litigation, and maintains a nationwide team of renowned first-chair trial lawyers.

Duties

• Manage intellectual property and technology litigation and enforcement matters across copyright, trademark, trade secret, false advertising, and AI sectors.


• Develop comprehensive litigation and enforcement strategies while counseling clients on legal risks related to product development.


• Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing, and manage the discovery phase, including coordinating with clients and vendors on e-discovery.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver legal solutions and exhibit strong verbal and client-facing communication skills.


 

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in AI, trademark, copyright, false advertising, and/or trade-secret law, including litigation.


• Strong understanding of the Lanham Act, Copyright Act, DMCA, federal and state trade-secret statutes, and computer-access laws such as the CFAA.


• Willingness to engage with a broad range of laws and legal principles to support technology clients with legal disputes.


• Highly motivated with excellent academic credentials and superior writing and communication skills.


 

Education

• Member of the state bar in the jurisdiction of application.


 

Certifications

• Trial experience is preferred.


 

Skills

• Experience with data-collection disputes under the CFAA and expertise in AI litigation.


• Ability to practice in multiple forums, including federal court, state court, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the ITC, and arbitral proceedings such as the UDRP process.
