A law firm seeks an Immigration Attorney in Houston, Texas, to join their team and contribute to uniting families through impactful legal work.

Duties

• Conduct consultations and track metrics on close rates and lead quality.
• Accompany clients to interviews at USCIS Field Office, Asylum Office, and Immigration Courts.
• Represent clients in removal and bond proceedings and appeals to the BIA.
• Prepare legal documents, including forms, briefs, and immigration packets.
• Review and provide feedback on immigration packets, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and technical writing as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in immigration law.
• Train and mentor team members in immigration law.
• Collaborate with paralegals on case review and preparation.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in immigration law.
• Experience with employment immigration and family-based immigration.
• Proficiency in asylum, VAWA, UVISA, and non-immigrant visas.
• Licensed to practice law in a United States jurisdiction.
• In good standing with the State bar in your jurisdiction.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed attorney in a U.S. jurisdiction.
