Duties

• Draft and prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and guardianship documents for clients and their families.



• Advise clients on insurance matters and estate management strategies to ensure their intentions are honored.



• Collaborate with paralegals and senior partners to maintain organized client files and ensure timely case progression.



• Represent clients in court proceedings and guardianship hearings as necessary.



• Analyze client needs to strategize and implement effective legal solutions in often emotional situations.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience handling wills, trusts, probate, and guardianship cases.



• Active license to practice law in North Carolina; South Carolina license is a major plus.



• Proven ability to work effectively in a full-time capacity with high attention to detail.

Education

• 4-year degree with a legal background and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree are required.

Certifications

• Valid North Carolina attorney license.
