Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with expertise in Construction and Design Law to join its Tampa, Florida office. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience, maintain client confidentiality, and work collaboratively within a team.

Duties

• Provide initial analysis and develop case strategy.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings.
• Explain legal options and potential outcomes to clients.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Negotiate, research, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing.
• Strong critical thinking skills and solid academic background.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting billable hours.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
