A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Family Law Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in family law, with a strong understanding of California family law and litigation. This role offers the opportunity to manage significant cases and contribute to the growth of the firm's Southern California practice.

Duties

• Develop case strategy and recommend next steps.
• Independently manage assigned family-law matters.
• Draft and argue Requests for Order.
• Prepare pleadings, declarations, briefs, and settlement documents.
• Conduct and respond to discovery.
• Prepare for depositions, mediation, settlement conferences, and trial.
• Appear in Los Angeles and surrounding Superior Courts as required.
• Analyze financial documents and evidence.
• Prepare clients and witnesses.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel.
• Identify evidentiary and legal issues proactively.
• Maintain control of deadlines and case calendars.
• Communicate consistently and professionally with clients.
• Supervise and effectively utilize paralegal support.
• Maintain timely and accurate billing and case-management records.

Requirements

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Approximately 3-7 years of attorney experience.
• Substantive California family-law experience.
• Courtroom experience.
• Strong written advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently analyze a case and recommend strategy.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar license.
