Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid to senior level transactional associate to join its Corporate and Securities Practice Group in Houston, TX. The associate will work collaboratively within a multi-office team, representing public company clients across various industries, and gaining exposure to complex securities, corporate governance, capital markets, and regulatory matters.

Duties

• Represent large Nasdaq and NYSE-listed public company clients.
• Engage in complex securities and corporate governance matters.
• Handle capital markets and regulatory issues.
• Collaborate with a dynamic, multi-office team.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of corporate and securities experience at a large regional or national law firm.
• Experience with Securities Act of 1933 equity and debt offerings.
• Familiarity with Securities Exchange Act of 1934 matters, including proxy statements and periodic reporting.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong analytical abilities.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction or eligible to become licensed.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law.
