A law firm in Pateros, WA, seeks a versatile general practice attorney to serve the Eastern Washington community. This remote position requires in-person court and client attendance when necessary. The ideal candidate will manage cases from inception to conclusion across multiple practice areas, including family law, estate planning, personal injury, real property, and criminal defense. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Duties

• Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances, negotiations, and trials.



• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop and support case strategies.



• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and motions.



• Negotiate settlements and provide strategic legal advice regarding client rights and options.



• Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation remains current and compliant.



• Collaborate with legal staff to ensure comprehensive case management and stay updated on legal changes.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.



• Experience handling all phases of cases, including motions and trial experience.



• Competence in family law, estate planning, probates, personal injury, real property disputes, and/or criminal defense.



• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interactions and legal documentation.



• Ability to litigate cases confidently in court settings with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Spanish language proficiency is preferred.



• Experience with legal administrative tasks is advantageous.



• Strong ability to manage diverse caseloads independently and collaboratively.

Benefits

• Base salary of $115,000-$175,000, dependent on experience.
