Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Immigration Litigation Attorney in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in immigration law, particularly in EOIR proceedings, Immigration Court litigation, and family-based immigration matters.

Duties

• Represent clients before EOIR, Immigration Court, USCIS, and the BIA.
• Handle Master Calendar, Individual, Bond, and Merits Hearings.
• Develop strategies for removal defense, asylum, and adjustment of status.
• Manage humanitarian matters including VAWA, U Visas, T Visas, and SIJS.
• Prepare motions, appeals, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and interviews.
• Manage an active litigation caseload while delivering excellent client service.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active U.S. Bar license.
• 3+ years of immigration law experience.
• Hands-on EOIR/Immigration Court experience.
• Experience with removal defense and asylum matters.
• Strong litigation, legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex immigration cases.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active U.S. Bar license.
