Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Fairfax, VA office. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, engaging in various aspects of family law, including divorce, adoptions, and custody matters. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding practice.

Duties

• Collaborate with the financial team to forecast client billings.
• Represent clients in court and legal proceedings.
• Participate in the firm's client development program.
• Manage a schedule of hearings and court appearances.
• Advise staff on legal matters and law interpretation.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia; additional state bars are a plus.
• Experience in domestic, criminal, and civil litigation preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Superior work ethic and organizational skills.
• Knowledgeable in family law, including childcare and financial settlements.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Virginia.

Skills

• Proficient in drafting legal documents such as custody agreements and prenuptial agreements.
• Adept at managing multiple priorities effectively.
