Job Overview

A law firm seeks two motivated Litigation Associates to join its Commercial Litigation Practice Group in Roanoke, VA. Duties

• Represent towing and recovery companies in various litigation matters, managing cases from inception to resolution.
• Support the practice group with a diverse range of business disputes and civil litigation matters.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Communicate effectively with clients and diverse stakeholders via email, in-person, and telephone.
• Conduct complex and detailed analysis of legal matters with close attention to detail.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia; if not currently a member, must become a member promptly.
• Ability to travel extensively locally and throughout Virginia, with multi-state travel as a possibility.
• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week to perform essential duties.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

• Strong analytical skills for conducting complex legal analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ordinary courtesy and tact.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
• Knowledge of law and legal practice to perform substantive legal functions.
