Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Professional Liability for its Chicago, Illinois office. The ideal candidate will handle cases primarily in Cook County, with additional responsibilities in DuPage and other collar counties.

Duties

• Conduct thorough research, analysis, and interpretation of legal sources.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Monitor case files to ensure compliance with deadlines.
• Assist with document review and analysis.
• Conduct depositions and appear regularly in court.
• Support trial preparation and participate in trials of professional liability cases.
• Adhere to and follow client guidelines meticulously.
• Communicate effectively and report appropriately to clients.

Requirements

• Good standing with the Illinois bar.
• Strong organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Deposition experience required.
• Trial preparation experience required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
