A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its team in Myrtle Beach, SC. This role offers a membership track with defined benchmarks and formal mentorship. The position provides hands-on experience and direct client contact within a fast-paced civil litigation environment.

Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and strategic recommendations.



• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.



• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production processes.



• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.



• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.



• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina or have pending South Carolina bar exam results.



• 1-5 years of practice experience, with prior workers' compensation experience encouraged.



• Willingness to work autonomously and within a team structure.



• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or better.

Certifications

• Active South Carolina Bar license or pending results.
