Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate for its Global Finance Group in Chicago. This role involves representing financial institutions and alternative lenders on diverse fund finance products and derivatives transactions across various asset classes.

Duties

• Manage client relationships and drive transactions forward independently within a rapidly growing practice.
• Advise on NAV financings, subscription financings, asset-backed financings, secured lending, and derivatives.
• Participate in the strategic growth of the practice while handling complex funding finance matters.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund finance, including relevant secured lending or derivatives work.
• Must be admitted or eligible for admission to the Illinois bar.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and move transactions forward independently.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois bar or eligibility for admission.

Skills

• Strong background in NAV, subscription, and asset-backed financings.
• Experience with secured lending and/or derivatives transactions.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to practice growth.
