Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate for its Global Finance Group in Chicago. The role involves representing financial institutions and alternative lenders on diverse fund finance products and derivatives transactions across various asset classes.

Duties

• Represent financial institutions, alternative lenders, and investment vehicles on complex fund finance and derivatives transactions.
• Draft financing documents for highly structured and bespoke deals involving NAV, subscription, and asset-backed financings.
• Collaborate with a market-leading practice team on secured lending matters and cross-border funding structures.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in fund finance, including NAV financings, subscription financings, or asset-backed financings.
• Experience with secured lending and/or derivatives is highly desirable.
• Must be admitted or eligible for admission to the Illinois bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active or eligible bar admission in Illinois.

Skills

• Strong ability to draft financing documents for complex, bespoke transactions.
• Proficiency in managing highly structured funding finance products.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for working with diverse client bases.
